Living

  • Single en-suite rooms spread across multiple residence blocks
  • Flats of 4 to 6 rooms
  • Rooms furniture includes a wardrobe, desk and chair
  • Laundry available in each residence area for a small fee. Payment is cashless via an app
  • Comfortable kitchens in each flat
  • Meals are served in a spacious canteen
  • Bedrooms,bathrooms and common areas are cleaned weekly
  • Bed linen are changed weekly, students must bring their own towel
  • Wi-Fi throughout
  • A deposit of £30 is required upon arrival and replacement of lost room key is £70

Food Options

Breakfast

On some days students will get a hot breakfast (pancackes, sausages and cooked eggs)  and/or a continental breakfast consisting of juice, coffee, toast, cereal and fruit.

Lunch

This will consist of two courses with three options, including vegetarian and halal options.

Packed lunches (provided at weekends): this will consist of water, fruit, sandwich, crisps and chocolate.

Evening Meal

This will consist of two courses with three options, including vegetarian and halal options.

 

 

Snacks

Vending machines are located in each residence building for drinks and confectionery.

MEALS

Meals are served in large dining hall in Bramber House.

Learning

  • Lessons are taught by professional and friendly English teachers
  • 20x45 minute lessons per week, morning or afternoon
  • Placement test on day 1 to ensure students are in a class of the appropriate level
  • Maximum 20 students per class
  • Students will be placed in an international class with students of different nationalities
  • Curriculum with emphasis on communication skills
  • Many classrooms have interactive whiteboards
  • Materials included as well as an end of course report and certificate
  • Classrooms are located in the Fulton Building

Programme Information

Arrival

Students will be welcomed upon arrival at the Fulton Building where they will register, check-in to their rooms and get their room keys.

Welcome

On the first evening, there will be a welcome activity which is designed to ensure students have the opportunity to meet the staff and the other students. They will get to know more about the campus, its facilities and other useful information which will help them during their stay.

Activities

Activities are organized in-between lessons and during the evenings. These activities could be on-site or near to the centre. They may include:

  • Sports such as football, mini Olympics, rounders, table tennis, voLleyball and basketball
  • Daytime activities such as scavenger hunts and drama workshops.
  • Evening activities such as karaoke, talent show, and team games.

Getting to and From School Activities

Our students travel by coach or train for activities and excursions outside the centre.

 

Excursions and Trips

HALF-DAY TRIPS

  • Our students get to explore exciting places such as Arundel Castle, Chichester, the historic town of Lewes as well as local visits to Brighton with the Sea Life Centre.

FULL-DAY EXCURSIONS

  • London: students explore this exciting capital city and take a walking tour of central London (Westminster) and visit the National Gallery.
  • Canterbury: visit this UNESCO World Heritage Site, one of the most visited cities in the UK, filled with medieval buildings. Enjoy the gothic architecture of Canterbury Cathedral.
  • Windsor Castle: students get to explore the charming, historic market town of Windsor and visit the Windsor Castle, home to the Queen of the United Kingdom.

OPTIONAL EXCURSIONS

  • Thorpe Park: enjoy extreme rides and attractions at this popular theme park.
  • London: Madame Tussauds or Tower of London.
  • Portsmouth: explore the Historic Dockyard, Spinnaker Tower and the Clarence Pier.

3 WEEK SAMPLE PROGRAMMES

Extra

Each 14 night stay will include 4 visits to Brighton, 2 half-day trips to other local places/cities of interest and 2 full-day excursions to other cities such as London, Canterbury and Windsor. Transport for trips may be by private coach or public transport.

Student may have lessons either in the morning or in the afternoon in week 1, alternating weekly after that.This programme is for illustrative purposes and activities and visits may change.
