The Brighton Lanes are a series of cobbled streets and old fisherman's cottages that have been adapted into shops and restaurants. The Lanes are also home to many antique shops, boutiques, bars, pubs and continental cafes. Brighton has a variety of nightlife entertainment for all nationalities and age groups. The Palace Pier is 100-years-old and offers a host of amusements, including a museum of slot machines, extensive fun rides, restaurants and bars. The Sea Life Centre hosts Britain's largest aquarium, offering dramatic displays, close-up views and opportunities of literally 'walking under water' through the longest aquarium tunnel in Europe. Several theatres are also in Brighton, hosting classical music concerts, opera, plays and comedy.
