Founded in 1985 amongst historic brownstones, International Guest House sits in Back Bay, one of Boston Proper’s most esteemed areas. The once single family home has been converted into one of Boston’s premiere lodging options.

Arrival and departure

  • Arrival day: Saturday 14:00 - 21:00 No late check-ins between 21:00 and 9:00.

  • Departure day: Saturday 11:00 
    Fees for late check-out may apply
     Appointment must be made with IGH staff during the week of their departure, so their room can be inspected and their deposit returned.

Journey to school

International Guest House is about a 25-minute walk to EC Boston.  

If you use public transportation

  • Take the Green Line toward Park Street.  A staff member can show you the nearest stop when you arrive.
  • Walk towards Faneuil Hall
  • Do not be afraid to ask for directions - Bostonians are very friendly and are always willing to help.

EC Boston is located on the 4th floor of the Abercrombie & Fitch building.  You will see a sign outside of the building , next to the front door, which says "EC Boston"

 

Other ways to get to your residence

Getting from Boston's Logan Airport to Boston via Public Transportation:

1. Taxi: On average, it costs about $35-$60 to get from the airport to your accommodation.

2. The T: subway and bus routes serving Logan Airport are part of the MBTA (Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority) better known as "the T."

From Logan Airport, you can take the Silver Line 1 (SL1) to South Boston, including South Station Commuter Rail and Red Line Subway. Just follow the signs in the airport to the Silver Line bus.

From Logan Airport, you can also take a Free Massport shuttle bus to the Blue Line Airport subway Station.

The Blue Line subway is your best connection to the MBTA system into Boston.

You can take:

  • The Blue Line inbound to State Street Station to change to the Orange Line subway.
  • The Blue Line to State Street Station (where EC Boston School is located) in order to change to the Orange Line subway.
  • The Orange Line one stop to Haymarket to connect to the Green Line.
  • The Orange Line one stop to connect to Downtown Crossing to connect to the Red Line subway.

Arrival Procedures

If you have requested an airport transfer service from the airport to your accommodation, the driver will be waiting for you at the Information Desk, located inside your Arriving Terminal.  Your driver will be holding a sign with EC Boston on it.  There is only one Information Desk in each terminal, so please do not leave your Arrival Terminal and do not go outside.

If you do not see the Transportation Company Representative immediately, please wait for 15 minutes at the designated meeting spot. If, after 15 minutes, you still do not see the Transfer company, please call or send a WhatsApp message to 1-857-707-9161. Even if the Transfer Company does not answer the phone, please leave a message about your location, so the representative can meet you as soon as possible.

Please make sure to contact EC Boston if there is any problem, or if you have missed your flight or if your flight is delayed, so we can inform the transfer company of your later arrival. EC Boston's emergency phone numbers is1-202-909-5873

House Rules

  • Students should expect to pay a deposit upon arrival in case of damage. This should be paid to International Guest House, not EC Boston.
  • Any cancellations to this reservation must be made as per our terms and conditions.
  • $200 refundable room and key deposit is collected upon arrival in cash only.
