Description of Local Area

Located on the banks of the River Irwell and close to Salford University, Riverside is convenient for local amenities and the city centre which can be accessed by regular buses (every 10 minutes) or on foot.

 
 

Description of Accommodation

Riverside consists of 3, 4, 5 and 6 bedroom apartments with a private ensuite room and a shared kitchen and living room. Bedding, towels, kitchen utensils, cutlery and crockery are all included. Single gender or mixed gender apartments are available. Each room has a double bed, a study space and a private bathroom with shower.

Arrival and departure

  • Arrival day: Any
    Check in: 11:00

    Early and Late check-in on request. If room is not ready the student can wait in 
    the communal spaces inside the property. The house manager on-site. The accommodation confirmation will be send to student with the room number.

  • Departure day: Any
    Check out: 11:00
    Late check-out on request.If student need to leave  after the checkout time he/she can ask the school well in advance (at least 2 weeks prior), if available.

Journey to school

The residence is a 25-minute walk from school and a 5 to 10 minute bus ride to the city centre. Transport costs – Weekly bus pass £15

Cancellations

Cancellation prior to arrival

Students cancelling or postponing within 14 days of arrival date, for reasons other than visa denial, will be charged a one-week accommodation fee at the standard accommodation rate and the accommodation placement fee.

Cancellation after arrival

Students leaving their accommodation must give notice in writing 4 weeks prior to termination. After deducting the price of accommodation used, including the required notice period, charged at standard accommodation rates, students will be refunded the remaining accommodation costs. If the 4-week notice period is not provided a cancellation fee equal to 4 weeks of the accommodation cost will apply.

Airport Pickup

If you have booked an EC airport transfer, on arrival at Manchester airport you will have to walk out of the arrival lounge and walk to the taxi transfers stand/office just outside. Once there give the person at the desk your name and they will direct you to the taxi.

We recommend using EC’s transfer service where you will be greeted at the airport by one of our authorised drivers.

House Rules

  • This residence is not available for students aged under 18 years
  • Single gender and mixed gender apartments are available – please specify preference when booking
  • Students will be asked for Damage deposit of 250 GBP on their first day of school. to be paid either by cash or credit card. If paid by credit card the money will be blocked and returned within 14 days of checkout.
  • Bookings of less than 12 weeks must be paid in full 2 weeks before the arrival date to confirm the room. For booking of 12 weeks or more, the first 12 weeks must be paid before the arrival date to confirm the room
  • Minimum 4 weeks booking required
  • Guests are allowed to stay overnight for free for max of 2 nights otherwise a fee of £25 per night applies
