Acsenda School of Management - Vancouver (Acsenda), formerly known as Sprott Shaw Degree College, is a Canadian degree college headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. In 2013, Sprott-Shaw Degree College was renamed Acsenda School of Management - Vancouver. 
They emphasize a unique combination of small class sizes, open access to instructors and the use of the latest technology. They are able to get to know their tudents. They understand students' strengths, and work with them directly to foster a deeper level of critical thinking and business knowledge.

Conditional admissions offered for

BBA or BHM program – Upon successful completion of EC Pre-Advanced Pathway with a minimum pass rate of 80%
EAPP100 with an option of enrolling in one course in the BBA or BHM program – Upon successful completion of EC Upper Intermediate Pathway with a minimum pass rate of 80%

Admissions & Pathway to Ascenda Students can gain conditional admission to ASM by registering in the EC Pathways Programme. The University Pathways Programme is designed for international students who are planning to study at ASM and need to meet the language requirement of their conditional offer.

Students who seek admission to ASM but do not have the abovementioned certification or entry credentials will be required to take ASM’s English Placement Test (EPT). Students must meet all other ASM program admission requirements. This includes completion of a HS diploma, and provision of official documents and transcripts. Contact the pathway coordinator for application deadlines, as acceptances into courses depend on space availability.

Application Information

Application deadlines

Application deadlines Admission remains open until the end of the second week of classes in a regular term, and the end of the first week of classes in the Spring and Summer Intensive term.
This date is called the add/drop/change deadline.
Some courses can fill quickly, and we encourage new students to submit applications as soon as possible in order to have the greatest course selection.

What do I need to apply?

  • Passport photo and info page
  • Official high school transcript, in English, or with an official or notarized English translation, which shows the results for the last three years of high school. Students still in their last grade may apply before graduation, and once graduated are required to submit a final official transcript before course registration. 
  • Official high school graduation certificate, in English, or with an official or notarized English translation. 
  • All other official post-secondary transcripts from other institutions, if applicable. 
  • Study permit / student visa / PR card / Canadian citizenship, if applicable 
  • Medical insurance coverage, if applicable.

Estimated processing times:
Letter of offer issued within 1-4 weeks. Once you receive your Letter of offer:

  1. Confirm your acceptance as outlined in the Letter of offer and make a payment for the first semester.
  2. Letter of acceptance issued within 1 week. 
  3. Contact your local Canadian Immigration office and apply for your study permit. 
  4. Send copy of Study Permit and proof of insurance to Alexander college as soon as possible to be able to start course registration

Important Considerations – International students may apply for permanent immigration. This may be done without obtaining a job offer from a Canadian employer.
In addition, full-time undergraduate and post-graduate international students in Canada may: 

  • work for up to 20 hours per week while in school, and on a full-time basis during school breaks
  • obtain a Post-Graduation Work Permit for the equivalent duration of the studies once the program is successfully completed and later may apply for permanent residency. · bring an accompanying spouse or common-law partner to Canada on an open full-time work permit, allowing them to work for any employer. 
  • bring accompanying minor children to study in Canada at the same rate that Canadians pay
  • become eligible for Canadian permanent residence, either through a Provincial Nominee Program, through Quebec's immigration system, or through the Express Entry immigration selection system.
